Coroner Rejects Inquest Into Columbine Shooting

A county coroner rejected a request for an inquest into the shooting death of a student who was killed as he fled the Columbine High School massacre.
Daniel Rohrbough’s parents believe he was accidentally shot by police as he ran from the school after two students opened fire. A sheriff’s report said gunman Dylan Klebold killed him.
Brian Rohrbough has released an audiotape of a sheriff’s deputy describing the shooting, though the deputy later said in a sworn statement that he didn’t see it.
Relatives of several victims have asked for a federal grand jury to investigate the April 20, 1999, slayings of 12 students and one teacher.
