Cerritos Infielder Prettyman Signs With Cal State Fullerton

Infielder Ron Prettyman, who was a first-team All-South Coast Conference selection at Cerritos College last season, has signed with Cal State Fullerton.
Prettyman, a graduate of Los Alamitos High, will have three years of eligibility with the Titans.
After sitting out the 2000 season because of back surgery, Prettyman started all 45 games for the Falcons last season, batting .353 with 10 doubles, five triples and 31 runs batted in.
He led the team with 22 stolen bases in 27 attempts.
The Titans also signed Neilv Walton, a 6-foot-5, 180-pound shortstop from Santa Cruz High.
In other commitments:
* Chris Nicoll, a 6-1 right-handed pitcher from Santa Maria Righetti High, has signed with UC Irvine.
Nicoll was 5-3 as a senior with a 2.20 earned-run average and 60 strikeouts in 60 innings. He was a three-time All-Northern League selection.
* Outfielder Chris Scott of Woodland Hills El Camino Real has committed to Nevada.
