You Can’t Wake Up Singer Who Never Sleeps

In Rob Cucher’s letter to Viewpoint [July 13], he had the gall to all but call Tom Lasorda a liar for claiming to have once phoned Frank Sinatra at 3 o’clock in the morning. Cucher also impugned The Times for believing and printing Lasorda’s story.
Lasorda clearly stated he was on the East Coast when he made that 3 a.m. call. Sinatra lived on the West Coast. Therefore, it was only midnight for Sinatra, a man known to just be going out at that hour. Oh, if only Frank were alive to punch Cucher in the mouth.
