Williams to Cut Its Trading Staff

Williams Cos. said it would cut 16% of its energy marketing and trading work force next week because of a decline in that business.
The company has about 800 trading and marketing employees in Houston and its headquarters in Tulsa, Okla., and fewer than 100 are traders, the company said. It also fired 11 traders, or 13% of its trading staff, in London.
Shares of Williams fell 22 cents to $7.13 on the NYSE.
