Pacific Ocean Quake Felt Along County Coast

A magnitude 4.6 earthquake centered in the Pacific Ocean rattled the Ventura County coast Saturday.
The temblor occurred at 1:33 p.m., centered about 23 miles northwest of Santa Barbara Island and 44 miles south of Ventura, according to a preliminary report from the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena.
There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
