City Honors Burns, Adams, Willis
Evan Burns from Fairfax High and Hassan Adams from Westchester have been selected the City Section co-players of the year in boys’ basketball and Lisa Willis of Narbonne has been selected the section’s most valuable player in girls’ basketball.
Adams led Westchester to the City Championship, defeating Fairfax and Burns in the City final. Adams has already signed with Arizona. Burns has committed to UCLA. Willis, who led Narbonne to the City Championship with a victory over Chatsworth, will also attend UCLA.

Soccer Players Headed to Europe
Four players from Southern California will be on the U.S. Youth Soccer Region IV Boys’ Olympic Development Program team that leaves today for a week of training and competition in The Netherlands and Belgium. The team includes forward Edgar Alejo from Fontana Miller High, midfielder Ian Etherington from Temecula Chaparral, goalkeeper Andrew Kartunen from San Clemente and defender Kiel McClung from Quartz Hill.
