Local Events to Mark National Day of Prayer

Several National Day of Prayer events will take place across Ventura County on Thursday.
The two largest events start at noon at the Thousand Oaks Civic Center and the Ventura County Government Center in Ventura.
In addition, members of the Ventura Interfaith Ministerial Assn. will hold a 30-minute prayer service at the Government Center at 9 a.m.
Other prayer events Thursday include a service from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Camarillo’s Constitution Park, featuring the Rev. Tom Demaree. Oliver North will be the keynote speaker at a 7 a.m. prayer breakfast at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum.
