Home Destroyed in Early Morning Fire

A Camarillo home was destroyed early Sunday when fire spread quickly through an upstairs bedroom and engulfed most of the residence.
No one was home at the time of the fire, which began about 6:20 a.m. and was extinguished by firefighters about half an hour later, said Vicki Crabtree, a spokeswoman for the Ventura County Fire Department.
Damage to the house and contents was estimated at more than $200,000, Crabtree said.The cause of the fire was still under investigation.
