Re “With High Court OK, Family Sues an HMO,” Nov. 11:
I read with disbelief that Dr. Lakshmi Shukla settled a suit for ostensibly withholding treatment information and recommendations. I am a patient of Dr. Shukla’s. He has been very caring and considerate and very insistent in recommending additional testing for my condition.
Dr. Shukla is more personally concerned and involved with his patients than the opportunistic lawyers are with their clients. I guarantee it.
