A 19-year-old Oxnard man was stabbed Sunday at Shopping at the Rose retail center, the city’s second gang-related stabbing during the weekend.
The victim, whom police declined to identify, was walking outside the Fashion Gallery apparel store just before 5 p.m. with two friends when he was attacked, said Oxnard Police Cmdr. Joe Munoz.
He was stabbed once in the back with an unknown object and was taken to St. John’s Regional Medical Center with minor to moderate injuries, Munoz said.
Police gang investigators were at the scene Sunday evening but had not made any arrests or determined whether the incident was related to a stabbing that occurred late Friday.
Officers arrested three gang members Saturday in connection with the stabbing of an unidentified 18-year-old man during an argument Friday night outside a fast-food restaurant in the 300 block of Esplanade Drive.
Hiram Ramirez, 31, and Javier Ambriz, 21, both of Oxnard, and Ramon Gutierrez, 20, of Port Hueneme were taken into custody.
