Suspect Held in Probe of Premier’s Slaying

Police investigating the killing of Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic said in Belgrade that they have arrested Borislav Mikelic, who was briefly the prime minister of the self-declared Serb ministate in wartime Croatia. He is suspected of ties to the Zemun Clan, which is believed responsible for the March 12 slaying of Djindjic.
Police also have issued a warrant for Mirjana Markovic, the wife of former Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic.
Police have accused the couple of ties to the slaying of former Serbian President Ivan Stambolic.
