College Closes Deal for New 156-Acre Campus

San Jose Christian College closed the deal to build a 1,200-student campus on 156 acres by the fall of next year. The four-year school will relocate from San Jose to a shuttered assembly plant near Rocklin.
The college plans to begin construction on the $45-million to $50-million campus that will replace a facility it has outgrown near Sierra College, said Joseph Womack, a vice president.
“We are unable to grow here -- we’ve had the opportunity to grow, but we have nowhere to put the students,” Womack said.
The school completed buying the property Wednesday.
