From Times Wire Reports
The Boulder Police Department said it has ended its investigation of the JonBenet Ramsey killing, handing it over to investigators in the district attorney’s office.
The decision helps avoid a lawsuit by JonBenet’s parents, John and Patsy Ramsey. Their lawyer, L. Lin Wood, had said police ignored leads and tips about the Dec. 26, 1996, slaying.
The Ramseys have denied any involvement in JonBenet’s death, saying an intruder killed their 6-year-old daughter. They moved to the Atlanta area after the slaying.
