Israeli Troops Kill Two Palestinians in Nablus

Israeli troops killed two Palestinians in the West Bank city of Nablus. Witnesses and hospital officials said soldiers fired at Palestinians who threw stones at them, killing two men, at least one a bystander. The army said troops fired at a youth who threw a gasoline bomb and at a man about to lob something at them.
Meanwhile, top Palestinian officials said they backed an Egyptian-proposed one-year cease-fire in the 2 1/2-year uprising against Israeli occupation.
