Twin’s Condition Upgraded to Good

The condition of a formerly conjoined twin from Guatemala, who underwent surgery Friday at UCLA’s Mattel Children’s Hospital, has been upgraded from fair to good, the hospital said Monday.
Friday’s surgery for Maria Teresa Quiej Alvarez included replacement of a shunt to remove fluid from her brain.
