Final top-10 rankings of boys’ volleyball teams in the Southland:
1. LOYOLA (20-0, SS-Div. I)
Won first section title since 1995.
2. SAN CLEMENTE (18-2, SS-Div. I)
Section runner-up won Orange County Championships.
3. HUNTINGTON BEACH (15-3, SS-Div. I)
Runner-up at Orange County Championships ran out of gas in division semifinal.
4. VALENCIA (21-1, SS-Div. II)
Breezed to division title, dropping only one game by two points.
5. ST. JOHN BOSCO (16-1, SS-Div. I)
Serra League champions were never out of any match.
6. WESTLAKE (17-3, SS-Div. I)
Unseeded semifinalist was surprise of playoffs.
7. SIMI VALLEY (17-2, SS-Div. I)
Pioneers blazed new trails with share of Marmonte League title, first victories over neighborhood rival Royal.
8. ESPERANZA (15-4, SS-Div. I)
Title hopes collapsed after late-season injury to UC Irvine-bound Jayson Jablonsky.
9. CHATSWORTH (14-3 City)
Won second consecutive section title, beating six-time finalist Taft.
10. CAMARILLO (21-1, SS-Div. III)
Won school’s first section title in volleyball in five-game nail-biter over San Gabriel.
