Rep. Radanovich Won’t Run Against Sen. Boxer

Rep. George Radanovich of Mariposa said Wednesday that he would not seek the Republican nomination next year to challenge Democratic U.S. Sen. Barbara Boxer in her bid for reelection.
“Given my current commitments to my congressional duties and my devotion to my family, I do not feel that at this time I can make the necessary time commitment to this race,” he said.
Toni Casey, a former mayor of Los Altos Hills in the Silicon Valley, has announced her candidacy for the GOP Senate nomination. U.S. Treasurer Rosario Marin, former mayor of Huntington Park, is also weighing whether to join the race.
