A man accused of killing one person and wounding at least one other at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland was taken into custody, according to police.
Chief Edward Lohn said the suspect was captured inside a building at the school about seven hours after the midafternoon incident began.
“There were approximately 70 people in the building, and we have taken almost all of those people out. As far as injuries go, I am not going to speak to that right now because we have not made any notifications to the families,” he said.
Many of those trapped were employees. Few students were present because final exam week had just ended.
