Owner of Handgun That Wounded Boy Is Sought

Police are searching for the registered owner of a handgun found in an alley by a 12-year-old boy, who accidentally shot himself.
Police Sgt. Rick Martinez said the boy and a friend found the gun and ammunition in a bag behind a strip mall on Ball Road. For unknown reasons, he said, the gun fired, startling the boys. The boy remained hospitalized.
