Memories are what matter

Bob SIPCHEN’S “The Snapshots That Survived” (Nov. 6) was neat and concise, yet brimming with feeling. I can picture the scenes and hear the voices. Somehow he managed to express genuine emotion without maudlin overtones.
I am sorry for his loss but warmed by the reminder that it’s the memories, not the structure itself, that illuminate a family.
