Medical-Neglect Case Against Couple Dropped

Utah dropped its medical-neglect case against a couple who refuse to give their son chemotherapy for cancer, but not before a judge admonished them for risking the boy’s life.
Parker Jensen, 12, was diagnosed this spring with Ewing’s sarcoma, an aggressive cancer, after a tiny tumor was removed from the soft palate of his mouth.
Daren and Barbara Jensen, the parents, insisted he was cancer-free after the surgery, but doctors feared the cancer could reappear and filed a complaint with the Division of Child and Family Services.
