Miramax Books names new CEO

Rob Weisbach, an editor at large at Simon & Schuster, has been named president and chief executive at Miramax Books, which will be managed over the next two years by executives representing both the Walt Disney Co. and Harvey and Bob Weinstein.
Plans call for Disney to take over Miramax Books’ catalog and to keep the imprint going after the Weinsteins give up control on Sept. 30, 2007, the companies announced Wednesday.
