Tickets sold out within minutes Monday for a daylong screening of all six chapters of the “Star Wars” saga at a London theater May 16.
The marathon screening at the Empire Leicester Square will begin at 7 a.m. with the original 1977 “Star Wars” and will culminate that evening with the final installment, “Star Wars: Episode III -- Revenge of the Sith,” which opens to the public on May 19.
No other such screening of the six films is planned, a spokesman for Lucasfilm said. Meanwhile, Fandango, the nation’s largest online and phone movie-ticketing service, said advance orders for “Revenge of the Sith” are running at record levels.
