Qwest, Union Continue Contract Negotiations

Qwest Communications International Inc. and the union representing 25,000 of its workers continued talks with an eye on the expiration of their contract Sunday morning.
Qwest, the fourth-largest U.S. local telephone company, said it was continuing to talk in good faith with the Communications Workers of America union. The union has said that though it hoped to reach a deal before the deadline, there was “no resolution in sight” on some issues, including mandatory overtime.
