Roenick Battling Pneumonia

TORONTO — The Kings’ Jeremy Roenick said Sunday that he has a case of pneumonia, which has kept him out of the last two games.
Roenick went to the hospital in Toronto on Sunday with a sore throat and flu-like symptoms. He was treated for tonsilitis and pneumonia as an outpatient.
“I started feeling bad the day after [Wednesday’s] game in Chicago,” Roenick said. “I’d had a sore throat for a couple days and after the game I started feeling worse.
“We’ll see what happens. Obviously, I need the rest or it won’t go away.”
As to whether he would play against Toronto on Tuesday, Roenick said, “Knowing me, probably yes.”
