My husband will celebrate his 60th birthday with friends at the top of Mt. Whitney. Since we live at sea level, he plans to take a great many hikes at altitude to prepare.... I’m content to stay at the trail head waiting for his return with cold refreshments, which I’m sure will be consumed well after dark.
