Convicted Councilmen Resign; Vote to Be Set

Deputy Mayor Michael Zucchet and Councilman Ralph Inzunza, convicted this week for taking illegal campaign contributions, submitted their resignations from the council on Thursday. The resignations are effective Monday.
The resignations allow the council to set a date next week for the election of successors.
