Re “Let’s talk dirty,” Opinion, July 17:
I normally would avoid, at all costs, a movie that blatantly reeks of “unspeakable obscenity,” and I don’t find funny most, if not all, “street-corner descriptions of sexual perversity.” But I must admit that I found Penn Jillette’s article thoroughly refreshing, clever, unabashedly bold and so unencumbered that I am at least a little intrigued about his documentary [“The Aristocrats”].
I applaud his choice for freedom from the restrictions of the Motion Picture Assn. of America and to avoid the media games that attempt to manipulate people to flock to the movies. Ironically, this very article may serve to bring in those who may never have given this movie a second glance.
I still don’t know if I will be one of them.
