Ex-Employees May File Suit Against ZipRealty

Residential brokerage firm ZipRealty Inc. said two former employees may file a class-action lawsuit against the company, challenging ZipRealty’s practice of requiring a minimum level of productivity from California real estate agents to effectively qualify for an expense allowance.
The Emeryville, Calif.-based company said that this practice was previously reviewed by outside employment counsel, and that ZipRealty was committed to “vigorously defending its business practices as appropriate.”
