Two men were killed early Sunday in an accident on the northbound San Diego Freeway, authorities said.
The two men were in the back seat of a Nissan Altima that was rear-ended just south of Warner Avenue about 5:10 a.m., California Highway Patrol spokesman Mike Sheldon said. Their names were not released pending notification of family in Mexico City. The other three people in the car received minor injuries.
The Nissan, which had crashed into the median barrier and had come to rest in the No. 1 lane, was struck by a BMW sedan, Sheldon said. That driver sustained minor injuries.
