Regarding “Howls Heard in Unexpected Places [March 1]: Thank you for the excellent article.... It was with great sadness and frustration that I recently read that Alaska has issued 900 hunting permits for wolves. The search is conducted by plane. The wolf is chased until exhausted. The hunter can shoot it from the air or get out and shoot it. The “mighty” hunters call it sport. I call it murder.
