“A Current Affair,” the tabloid-style newsmagazine that ran in syndication from 1986 to 1996, is returning to the airwaves Monday. It will air locally at 11 weeknights on KTTV-TV Channel 11.
Peter Brennan, creator of the show and one of its executive producers, said “A Current Affair” won’t be as celebrity oriented as other syndicated newsmagazines. “Every week there’s a Laci Peterson story out there somewhere in some small town. We told those stories in the original program, and that’s what we’re going to do again,” he said in a news release.
