A former pizza delivery man was ordered Tuesday to stand trial for 10 South Los Angeles rape and strangulation slayings.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge William R. Pounders said there was enough evidence to try Chester D. Turner for the slayings, which took place along the Figueroa corridor next to the 110 Freeway from 1987 to 1998.
Turner had been serving time for a rape conviction when he pleaded not guilty to the strangulation slayings.
