Council OKs Kennard to Run Airport Agency

Lydia Kennard was approved as the executive director of the city’s airport department by a unanimous vote of the City Council on Wednesday.
Kennard held the job from 1999 to 2003, when she left for a private sector post. She replaces Kim Day, who resigned in September and who was a supporter of then-Mayor James K. Hahn’s $11-billion airport modernization plan.
