Babbitt’s stand on the environment
Reading former Interior Secretary Bruce Babbitt’s bloviation on the environment (Q&A;, Nov. 15) is almost more than a sane mind can take. Let readers simply remember this self-evident fact: Environmentalists are not pro-nature, they are anti-human.

Babbitt said: “If you’re an environmentalist, you must oppose everything. That doesn’t describe me.” He supports nuclear power, which will create a problem that future generations will have to deal with for thousands of years. Humans should prepare for a better life in the future by using renewable energy sources and family planning to reduce human population to a size the Earth can sustain.
