They Can’t Afford to Suffer Jet Lag

Air Force Academy football Coach Fisher DeBerry wants the school to recruit more African American players because “they can run very, very fast.”
I thought the Academy’s role was to train future military officers. I’m not sure I’d want to fly through a snowstorm with an Academy-graduate navigator whose major qualification was his ability to run fast.
Maybe it’s time to drop the academic charade from all college football, make sports a major and graduate players with a BS.
