Truly a class act

RE: “No World of Fantasy for Him” [Aug. 28], I had the pleasure of seeing Ricardo Montalban in the “best thing” he ever did. “Don Juan in Hell” played New Haven, Conn., when I was an undergrad at Yale; 30 years later, I haven’t forgotten his charisma.
The still-handsome Montalban is indeed a Latin lover but equally adept as a clever cop applying forensic science to solve a murder (in “Mystery Street”) and as a powerful yet graceful Kabuki dancer (in “Sayonara”).
He happily agreed to an interview for my book on his friend Vincent Price, and treated me to anecdote after charming anecdote. In addition to tenacity, Senor Montalban, I’ll remember you for the talent and graciousness that has made you an integral part of the best that is Hollywood.
