Did anyone else juxtapose the Sept. 25 columns by Steve Lopez (“A Ray of Hope for Future Nathaniels”) and Susan Spano (“Close encounters with acute poverty,” Travel)?
Did anyone else contrast the misfortune of the poor and homeless in downtown Los Angeles to the plight of the poor and homeless in New Delhi?
Did anyone else grasp the irony of the same hopeless situations existing in both the richest country in the world and a Third World country?
