Re “Study: Effort to Rid L.A. of Gangs Is Failing,” Aug. 3
Although I am not sure I agree with the idea of another bureaucracy to manage anti-gang efforts, I definitely agree that we need to focus on the root causes.
I will believe that politicians are sincere about dealing with the problems when they announce that they will match -- dollar for dollar -- prevention funds to prison-building funds. Only then will we see change.
