High school bomb threat was a false alarm

Students at Brea Olinda High School were back in class Friday after being evacuated the day before when school officials received an anonymous bomb threat, authorities said.
Students were moved to a gymnasium while police officers and firefighters swept the school grounds.
An abandoned backpack was X-rayed but did not contain explosives, according to the district’s website. Scheduled athletic activities were held Thursday afternoon, and school resumed Friday.
