Taxpayers get a day’s grace; deadline Monday
- Share via
Last-minute taxpayers get a one-day reprieve on paying their property taxes this year.
Because the Dec. 10 deadline for first installments falls on a weekend, county tax officials said, property owners can pay their bills Monday. But payments without a postmark of Dec. 11 or earlier, they said, will be considered late and assessed a 10% penalty.
Bills can be paid in person at the tax collector’s office, 12 Civic Center Plaza, Room G-58 in Santa Ana. Those wishing to pay by mail can drop off their payments at the Santa Ana Processing Center Post Office, 3101 W. Sunflower Ave., Santa Ana, until 11 p.m. Monday.
Payments may also be made by electronic check at www.ttc.ocgov.com, or by credit card at (714) 834-3411.
