In Africa, she hit the heights

IN her first trip to Africa, Donna Butler of La Verne found this mother and her offspring huddling in an elephant park in Tanzania. Butler said it reminded her of Russian nesting dolls that fit inside one another. “This spot had a proliferation of elephants, which was wonderful because they’re my favorites,” she said. Butler captured the moment with her Canon PowerShot S1.
