Cheap-chic fashion powerhouse Hennes & Mauritz, a.k.a. H&M;, will be making its Hollywood debut late next year.
Europe’s largest fashion retailer has agreed to lease with CIM Group a 10,000-square-foot store on Hollywood Boulevard, CIM principal Shaul Kuba said Wednesday. The store will be across the street from CIM’s Hollywood & Highland Center.
“Hollywood has the demographics and the appeal as a hip location, which is attractive to the H&M; customer who wants what’s current, trendy and creating a buzz,” Kuba said.
CIM previously announced a lease with H&M; for a 12,000-square-foot store in Pasadena.
The moves are part of an expansion by the Swedish retailer, which sells fashionable clothes at low prices.
