Simplicity and solitude at Baja’s tip

SKY, sea and sand. That’s exactly what Sherri Witkowski captured with a Kodak DX3900. In August, she stayed at the Hotel Solmar Suites in Cabo San Lucas at the tip of Baja, Mexico, and had this view of the Gulf of California. Witkowski, of Los Alamitos, said the beach looked gorgeous -- but there was no swimming. Too much undertow. But that led to the serenity the picture captured. “It reminds me of an Edward Hopper painting,” she says.
