Follow the Clippers’ Ever-Bouncing Ball

Is J.A. Adande blind? He rips into Elton Brand but gives Sam Cassell and Mike Dunleavy a pass on the Game 5 debacle (“Success Just Doesn’t Seem to Stick to This Team for Long”)?
How is Brand going to win games if Cassell doesn’t pass him the ball? Like, with six seconds left in regulation and Sam hoists up one of his brainless threes instead of getting the ball to Brand down low.
And Dunleavy? He has to scream every time his team is playing defense. His players must be real stupid, never to know what defense to play every possession. And why does he have to call every offensive play during every game?
He’s the anti-Phil.

I usually enjoy Mr. Adande’s columns, they are normally knowledgeable and entertaining.
But his column on May 17 about the Clippers is strangely negative. The Clippers are having a great year. They are still playing entertaining playoff basketball after the Lakers are long gone. Why does Adande revile them in this way?
Adande should acknowledge that there is more in the wonderful world of NBA basketball than Kobe Bryant and the other Lakers clowns.
