Cruise, Holmes have been wed

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes “officialized their marriage in Los Angeles,” publicists said, before going to a medieval castle near Rome for a Scientology ceremony out of sight of thousands of onlookers and paparazzi. A Scientology official said the ceremony was not legally recognized in Italy, but publicists said “the required steps” had been taken in L.A. “for the marriage to be legal.”
