Hurry up and wait at LAX check-ins
I can commiserate with reader Robert Hodgkin, who found that checking in at American Airlines was a time-consuming hassle, while passing through security was efficient. [“Early Morning Check-In Woes,” Letters, Oct. 8].
I recently arrived at the LAX American terminal at 5:30 a.m. for an 8:08 a.m. domestic flight. I made the mistake of choosing curbside check-in. I didn’t reach the front of the line until 7:25 a.m.
Going through security probably took about 15 minutes, and I arrived at the gate just in time to make my plane.
