Critic wanted

PLEASE give Carina Chocano a raise. Her commentary [“It’s Critics vs. the Hype Not the Audiences,” Aug. 20] got right to the heart of the simplistic, either/or, binary thinking that pervades so much of today’s discourse.... Her writing is incisive and witty.... In our current era of pre-release hype and word-of-mouth/blog/text messaging, a good critic is more important than ever, and Chocano is an excellent one.
