Alon USA Completes Purchase of Edgington

Dallas-based Alon USA Energy Inc. said it had completed its acquisition of Edgington Oil Co. of Long Beach.
In May, Alon agreed pay $52 million for Edgington and its Long Beach refinery, which is capable of processing as many as 35,000 barrels of oil a day into diesel, jet fuel and asphalt.
In August, Alon said it closed the acquisition of Paramount Petroleum Corp. for $307 million, plus the assumption of $100 million in debt. Paramount Petroleum operates several refineries, including a plant in Paramount, which processes 54,000 barrels of oil a day into gasoline, diesel and asphalt.
