Quiksilver CEO’s salary jumps 13%

Quiksilver Inc. said its compensation committee approved a salary boost for the surf wear maker’s top executives.
The Huntington Beach company has posted losses for three straight quarters. But Chief Executive Robert B. McKnight Jr.’s base salary will jump 13% to $1,075,000 in fiscal 2008 from $950,000, according to a regulatory filing. President Bernard Mariette’s salary will rise 12.5%, to $900,000 from $800,000. The raises became effective Nov. 1.
